I couldn't help but write today about my wife's experience at the Chiropractor. We have been using Chiropractic for years to help with my wife's MS, and have seen miraculous results using it. Yesterday she was struggling with stomach issues which she has struggled with off and on for years. What's hard is knowing whether it has something to do with Multiple Sclerosis or it's just bad food. She can become violently sick from a meal she eats regularly so we feel like it has something to do with the digestive problems that seem to be associated with her MS. I say all of this to share something that happened today after her Chiropractic visit.
During her adjustment she began to tingle all over her body. It's not unusual for an arm or leg or part of her body to tingle, but this was much more than usual. She also had burning in her stomach immediately after the adjustment. We exclusively use Pro Adjuster Chiropractic because it's the best Chiropractic treatment we have found for my wife. After the adjustment was over she continued to tingle and her stomach burned for a bit and then it quit. Sometimes after a visit she feels tired and needs to sleep and other times she has a spurt of energy and feels great. Today she felt wonderful after the adjustment and the tingling left her body not long after she left the office.
The odd thing with the visit today was her stomach burning. I don't remember that happening before, but it always amazes me how our bodies are made so that everything is interconnected. By adjusting her spine and aligning her body, her stomach was affected along with nerves all over her body. Today was confirmation once again that using Chiropractic is vitally important for my wife's health, and we feel it is one of the core treatments we can count on every time she has Multiple Sclerosis symptoms or issues.

Stomach Problems With Multiple Sclerosis
For years my wife has struggled with stomach issues. Some days she can eat a certain meal and have no issues, then eat the same thing for a meal the next day and become nauseous and vomit. Today is one of those days. Yesterday she was fine and having no stomach issues, but today she ate a meal that she eats often and has been vomiting all afternoon and evening. Once all of the food is gone she starts to feel better and can go days or weeks until she has issues again. Not only does she have nausea but the stomach pain can be very intense.
My wife's MS symptoms have come and gone through the years, but the stomach issues seem to be something that sticks around. Sometimes she's gone weeks or months without having issues then out of the blue she can't seem to eat anything without becoming sick immediately. I know it's quite frustrating for her when she knows that no matter what she eats she becomes sick, and so far we haven't found anyway to stop it other than just waiting it out. Multiple Sclerosis can definitely be frustrating at times, and we will keep looking for patterns of why her stomach is having issues. Until we figure it out, we will continue to make sure she is eating right, drinking plenty of water and doing the other things we know to treat her MS symptoms.

MS in Wichita
It's been a while since I posted, and we are now living in Wichita KS where I work as the CEO of an all girl's children's home. My wife's MS has been pretty good since we have been in Wichita and I think she is finally acclimating to the heat and humidity. Over the last week she has dealt with some headache issues where it hurts in her eye, and had some fatigue and stomach issues. These issues are more annoying than anything, and she has done very well with the stresses that have come from moving and taking over a children's home. This last week has really brought the emotional stresses as we have dealt with some girls that we took off the streets and gave homes on our campus.
Overall we have been very blessed and her MS hasn't reared it's ugly head much. Over the next months we are hoping that we are able to settle in and increase my wife's health. We will be searching for a natural doctor and continuing to along the path of natural health. We are excited to be plugged in and back in a city with healthcare options, and I know that my wife is excited that her health has continued to be good.

Can't Eat Without Becoming Sick
My wife is going through another period of stomach issues. For the last three days she has become ill after almost every meal. Timing couldn't have been worse the last few days and it has been very frustrating when these spells have hit. This morning we had a staff party that my wife had to leave because she became ill from the snacks provided. She missed the majority of the party stuck at the house sick. The same thing happened yesterday while we were at a banquet. Everything was OK until she ate, then within minutes she started having stomach cramps. We needed to leave immediately after the banquet and it took a good hour for her to feel better.
We are still not sure what causes this reaction to food. It doesn't matter what she eats or when she eats it, she gets sick without rhyme or reason. Tonight she was going to wait to eat until after a Christmas program our daughter was in, but made a plate and ate anyways. She expected to be sick within minutes, but was fine for the rest of the evening. It would seem like there would be some logic to all of this, but we have not been able to piece any of it together yet. We have tried different foods, eating at different times, resting and other things but have not had any luck yet with any of our attempts at controlling this issue. I would love to hear if anyone else has had any luck figuring out what triggers this problem. Hopefully this spell of the issue is over and my wife will be back to normal, but until then we have to be aware that our schedule may be changed based on her stomach.

Nausea, Heartburn, Indigestion, Upset Stomach, Diarrhea and MS
Once again, my wife had to run to the restroom with an upset stomach. Today we went to the movies to enjoy some time with our Children's home kiddos. We ordered the usual popcorn and drink and sat down to enjoy the movie. Half way through the movie my wife's stomach started to cramp and hurt. It became serious enough that she had to run to the bathroom before the end of the movie. She found herself in the bathroom vomiting and frustrated once again.
She has had stomach issues as long as I have known her, but it isn't consistent. Sometimes she will go weeks or months without issues then it hits out of nowhere. When she does have issues, it can be as simple as stomach pain or as serious as becoming ill after every meal. Many times she will even have to run to the restroom during the meal. It seems to start with an upset stomach and then will continue to be uncomfortable until she expels what's in her stomach. This is very frustrating for her and can really hamper any activities we have planned.
We have tried a few things to help with this, but we have still not figured out what triggers the reaction. We do know that over the last few years she has become more sensitive to dairy products and that when she is having issues, there are certain foods that she needs to stay away from. We have also used a combination of Mastic Gum and L-Glutamine to help ease the stomach. I know that we will eventually figure out what is causing this issue, but until then we will be aware of it and know that it is a temporary issue.
